6) Distinguish annealed, tempered, lamined and flat glass and recognize machine and equipments used in glass shaping

Course Contents

Definition of sintering and aim of it, ceramic kilns and their properties, kiln atmospheres and their effects, primitive firing techniques, raku technique, mechanical resistance of glass and methods of enhancing resistivity, glass process methods, melting furnaces and their properties, steps of melting, steps of sintering and structure of grain, furnace calculations, properties of annealed glass, tempered glass, laminated and flat glass, cooling of glass and importance of it, properties of machines and equipments used forming of glass, mozaic glass, mosaic technique on the form, fusion technique, fusion molds and preperation of mould, making ceramic furnace, refractories used in the furnace and their properties.

5) Tempere glass, Lamine glass and their properties.

10) Pit firing, sagar firing
11) Horse hair firing
12) Glass strengthen methods, glass defects
13) Introduction to the ceramic decoration, photocopy transfer method
