Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Repeat the basic laws of thermodynamics in laboratory conditions.
2) Use commonly encountered thermodynamic instruments with confidence.
3) Identify the factors which determine the design of thermodynamic instruments for some applications.
4) Make experimental determination of thermodynamic and volumetric properties.
5) Experimentally validate concepts such as pressure, energy, thermal expansion, specific heat.
