Thermal equilibrium. Basic concepts of probability theory. Maxwell distribution. The number of molecules striking a wall. Boltzmann distribution. Perrin experiment. Entropy and statistical distributions. Classical theory of heat capacity. Einstain theory of heat capacity. Fermi-Dirac distribution. Electron gas. Degenerate electron gas.
