This course includes the importance of catalysis, properties of catalyst, general separation of catalytic events, classification based on chemical properties of catalysts, microheterogen catalysis, special types of catalysis, preparation of catalysts, concept of adsorption, physical and chemical adsorption, kinetics and thermodynamics of adsorption, porous solids, specific surface area and specific pore volume, application areas of adsorption.
