This course includes solid state structure, type of crystals, A-type crystal lattices, ABn type crystal lattices, defect structure, spinel structure, lattice energy, lattice energies and ionic radii, conductive-, semiconductive-, nonconductive materials, phase diagrams, structure of ceramics and glasses, mechanical properties, composites, fiber composites, and comparison of ceramic composites with metals and polymers.
