4) Obtain knowledgeable information on the spirostane class of organic compounds that have other important biologically active effects
5) Discuss the effects of spirostanes on dementia
6) Evaluates the therapeutic properties of the natural product ginger on asthma
7) Understand the relationship of beta-blockers to blood pressure
8) Examines the connection between sugars and diabetes
9) Gain information about the relationship of fats with metabolism
10) Gain information about the relationship between organic additives used in the food industry and human health
