Course Contents

Learning the terms related to Ottoman miniature art, recognition of their representatives, overlapping miniatures with poetry texts.

Weekly Schedule

1) Miniature art and representatives.
2) To learn the terms related to Ottoman miniature art.
3) Examination of visual files related to miniature art
4) General information about the relationship between classical Turkish poetry texts and miniature art.
5) Interpretation of social life scenes reflected in the Ottoman miniature art and in the texts of classical Turkish poetry.
6) Miniatures and sample couplets belonging to entertainment councils.
7) Miniatures and sample couplets belonging to entertainment councils.
8) Mid-term exam
9) The sultan's ascend to the throne, miniatures and couplets symbolizing celus ceremonies and sultan assemblies.
10) Miniatures and associated couplets of weddings and circumcision ceremonies.
