1) Recognize objects of art belonging to the Early Christian and Byzantine cultures.
2) Distinguish techniques of objects of arts produced by the Byzantine culture.
3) Recognize objects of art belonging to Medieval period cultures of Anatolia and the Mediterranean basin.
4) Grasp iconographic themes represented on objects of art, their transformation through ages, as well as various of art media getting popular depending on sociopolitics of the time.
5) Identify objects of arts in Constantinopolitan style which have been produced at the capital.

Objects of art of the Late Antique and Early Christianity periods; gems, tapestry, mosaics, funeral wall paintings and sculpture. Various objects of arts made of ivory, gold, silver suuch as tryptichs and dyptichs, pyxis, reliquaries, procession crosses, icons, illuminated manuscripts, fresco and mosaic images.
