1) Explaining historical development of microbiology and microbiology lab orientation and safety rules
2) Defining physical and chemical control of microorganisms
3) Defining microbial systematic and classification and how to use light area and dark area microscopes.
4) Explaining bacterial cell structure and functions
5) Defining microorganisms culture
6) Explaining staining techniques (gram reaction, acid fast staining, endospore staining, flagella staining and bacterial metabolisms)
