Within the content of this lecture, the advantages of advanced treatment methods compared to the conventional methods will be investigated. General information about advanced oxidation process, kinetics, classification of advanced oxidation processes and applications, the cost of advanced oxidation processes; membrane materials, membrane characteristics, preparation of membranes, mass transfer in membrane processes, concentration polarization and fouling, membrane cleaning, module design and characteristics with types of membrane (MF, UF, NF, RO, etc.) and applications; types and general properties of electrochemical treatment processes, factors affecting the electrochemical treatment process will be examined.
