1) Engineering students will calculate the normal, shear and combined stresses and strains of the bodies subjected to various loading conditions.
2) Calculate basic deformations and relative calculations.
3) Calculate the definitions of the material mechanical properties.
4) Calculate the beam bending and how to draw V and M diagrams.
5) Learn the safety factor and decision criteria.
6) Calculate and use the centroids and moment of inertia and analyze simple indeterminate members by using equilibrium and compatibility equations.
7) Demonstrate skills in problem solving and analytical thinking.
8) Perform the basic engineering systems' analysis and calculations.
