Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Industrial Engineering Students learn the fundamentals of Mechanical components, Metroloji and applied mechanical measurements and Tolerances, manufacturing processes (casting, welding, Forming, Fitting, Welding, etc.).
2) Learn the mechanisms and kinematics synthesis, principles of ther modynamics and fundamentals of heat transfer.
3) Learn the metrology, (linear and angular measurements, limits, fits and tolerances), limit gauges, comparators.
4) Learn the tolerances and fits and their application areas.
5) Learn the power transmissions, machine and operations tools, screw thread, lathe, shaper, drilling machine, milling machine.
6) Learn the methods of location and gear tooth, profiles, design of shafts, keys, coupling, bearings, crank shafts, connecting rods, pistons, flywheels, fasteners, pin, welded, riveted joints and helical, compression-tension, concentric torsion springs, leaf springs.
