Course Contents

This course covers the definition, history and developent of drilling; classification of drilled wells; drilling methods and the parts of drilling machines; comparing drilling methods; drilling hydraulics and mud losses and casing; drilling problems and recovery of wells; drilling mud types and properties; standards used in drilling wells; rigs and rig types; cored drilling, cores and their types; drill bits, selection of bits, oriented drilling, deflection in boreholes; optimum yield in drilling and difficulties, education of drilling team, accidents during drilling; demonstration of drilling equipments.
