Course Contents

Identification of hydrocarbons. Oil reserves in the world and in Turkey. Importance of hydrocarbons in the economy of Turkey. Petroleum research during the geological, geophysical and drilling studies. Surface and subsurface maps related to oil researches.

10) Petroleum traps, cover rocks
11) Classification of petroleum traps
12) Photogeology to be used in petroleum exploration
13) During the surface geology of petroleum exploration activities
