Definition and classification of machining processes and machine tools, historical development of machining processes and machine tools, machining quality, application areas of machine tools in manufacturing, detailed principles of machine tools such as lathe, milling, planing, drill, grinding, NC, CNC and main prenciples of non traditional machining methods such as ultrasonic, electrical discharge, electron beam, laser beam and electro chemical machining

1) Introduction to machining processes and machine tools, the importance of machine tools at industry, definition and classification of machining processes and machine tools, historical development of machining processes and machine tools.
2) Cutting tools materials, workpiece materials and cutting fluids; cutting tools materails and their properties, workpiece materials, properties of cutting fluids and classification, selection of cutting fluids.
3) Machining quality.
4) Geometric configuration of cutting tools; massive tools, welded tools, plaque tools
5) Detailed principles of machine tools; lathe.
6) Detailed principles of machine tools; lathe.
7) Detailed principles of machine tools; milling.
