1) Explaining basic definitions, generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
2) Explaining structure, operation and maintenances of stationary electric machines (transformers).
3) Explaining structure, operation and maintenances of rotating electric machines (motors and generators).
4) Expressing causes and protection methods of electric caused accidents.
5) Explaining special applications of electrical machines.

Topics in electricity include AC and DC, basic circuit analysis, inductance and capacitance, Ohm’s Law, Kirchoff’s Laws, power, ideal transformers, basic control logic and ladder diagrams. Electrical machines and drives. Fundamental parts of electrical drives including converter,machine and load. Operating principles of induction machines, synchronous machines and dc machines. Equivalent circuits, performance, different defects, and maintenance of electrical machines. electrical safety
