Course Contents

Safety concept, load types on machine elements, strenght limits of materials, behaviour of machine elements on dynamic loading, fatigue, diagrams and tables of continious strength, Wohler, Smith and Soderberg diagrams, safety stress, calculation of machine elements under high temperatures, calculation of pre-stressed systems, surface pressure, buckling, creep, relaxation, application examples.
