1) At the end of the lessons, students should understand the following: 1. The crystal structure, chemical and physical properties of some important raw and ceramic materials 2. The production possibility, forming and sintering methodes of the ceramic materials 3. The application field some important raw and ceramic materials 4. A definition of quality and properties (micro structure and mechanical properties) of ceramic materials 5. The design of ceramic materials resp. for engineering applications.
