2) Learns how the constitutions are made and amended.
3) Learns about the fundamental branches of the state.
4) Gains information about the Ottoman-Turkish constitutional developments.
5) Learns about Türkiye's fundamental rights and freedoms regime.
6) Gains knowledge about the functioning of Türkiye's legislative, executive and judicial organs.
7) Gains knowledge about the separation of powers and the judicial review; Learns about the functioning of the TCC and how to examine its decisions.

Course Contents

The course consists of two main modules: "Constitutional Law: General Principles" and "Turkish Constitutional Law". In the first part, the theoretical framework of constitutional law is presented, while in the second part, following a brief overview of Ottoman-Turkish constitutional developments, the theoretical framework given in the first part is materialized with regard to the 1982 Constitution,
