Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Knows the normal structure and functions of the skin and skin appendages, describes the skin lesion
2) Knows the diagnosis and treatment methods commonly used in skin disease,
3) Gains the basic theoretical and practical knowledge required for approaching a patient with dermatological complaints,
4) Diagnoses common skin diseases, makes the differential diagnosis and prescribes.
5) Gains the skills of using and prescribing the magistral drugs.
6) Recognizes the rare skin diseases and skin tumors and transfers them to advanced centers
7) Recognizes the common sexually transmitted diseases, gets knowledges about follow-up and prevention methods,
8) Informs the people about protection measures from the sunlight, which is known to have a primary effect in skin cancers.
9) Reaches correct information in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, interprets this information.

1) Structure and functions of the skin I-II, Dermatological examination and elementary lesions I-II, Viral skin infections I-II, Bacterial infections of the skin I-II, Parasitic diseases of the skin I-II, Dermatitis I- II, Reactive skin diseases, Dermatoses due to physical factors, Superficial fungal infections of the skin I-II, Identifying of elemantary lesions
