Course Contents

This course includes cold glass techniques like paving with stone, sandblasting, etching, engraving, polishing and heated glass shaping methods like fusion.

Weekly Schedule

1) Introducing the basic technics and equipments for cutting glass.
2) Practising for cutting glass. Recognise the processes for fusing glass.
3) Practising for cutting the glass at standart dimensions as given.
4) Recognize fusing and design for fusing.
5) Recognise fusing and practise with brushes.
6) Reviewing designs and discussing the applicability of the scetches drawn by the students. Praparing for the application.
7) Application prosesses.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Practises on fusing glass by using ready made moulds of simple forms.
10) glass cutting, painting and fusing exercises on decided designworks.
11) Finishing the works by polishing and grinding.
12) Reviewing designs and discussing the applicability of the scetches drawn by the students. Praparing for the application.
