Course Contents

Ceramic metarial, used for thousands of years mankind away from East to West, is a cultural data. Every civilization has developed unique ceramic production and firing techniques (raku, mayolica, terra sigillata, luster etc.) Today contemporary artists use that rich technical specifications from different cultures. This course covers the theoretical research and practices about with the production and firing techniques, raku, mayolica, terra sigillata etc., developed in different country and cultures. The plastic and visual effects of that techniques are applied to the student’s original designs. At the beginning of each academic year it is announced the name of country and techniques that they will be studied.
