Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Explain computer-aided design techniques and recognize Auto CAD software
2) Use basic drawing and modeling concepts and commands to make two-dimensional design
3) Create new and original designs using computer-aided design software and describe technical drawing characteristics of a design
4) Create projects using various methods and makes two-dimensional drawings via Auto CAD software
5) Present the variations desinged on Auto CAD program as a file
6) Solve problems using the time between design sketches and implementation process appropriately and make two-dimensional technical drawings on computer
7) Explain professional terminology and concepts in computer-aided design and expound properties and application areas of softwares to make two-dimensional computer-aided ceramic designs
8) Use computer-aided design methods based on operation standards and ergonomic data properly
9) Examine the cooperations using two dimensional modelling systems

Course Contents

At the end of this course learning outcomes specified under the main headings and sub-learn skills are acquired. Introduction of Auto CAD software. Introduction of fundamental drawing and modelling concepts and commands required for two-dimensional design on the computer. Defining the design using technical drawing properties. Finalizing two-dimensional drawings using Auto CAD commands.

Weekly Schedule

1) Starting To AutoCAD: AutoCAD window. Shortcut menus. Use of mouse. Dialogue boxes. Command properties. File processes. Exit to file. Exit to AutoCAD.
2) Basic Drawings: Line command. Dot Entry. Erase command. Circle command. Arc command. Line-arc permanency. Limits command. Drafting drawing from the teached commands.
3) Drawing Assistants: Object cramp modes. Deadlock to object cramp modes. Function keys. Some helpers in the dot entry. SNAP command. GRID command. Some important settings. Drafting drawing from the teached commands.
4) Drawing Commands: TRACE command. DONUT command. SOLID command. PLINE command. Create a regular polygons. Free hand drawings. Elliptical and elliptical arcs. SPLINE command. MLINE command. Drafting drawing from the teached commands
