Course Contents

Students benefit from objects, nature, reproductions of Masters, and photagraphy. They produce drawing, watercolor and pastel studies and copies.

Weekly Schedule

1) Make a clair obscur study from a master's masterpiece with drawing material
2) Continue to work on clair-obscure study from reproduction
3) Draw a naturmort composition with using ink and brush. The naturmort contains different textures like glass, metal matarials and fruits vegetables etc.
4) Continue to work which they use indian ink and brush.
5) Paint an animal from a photographic image with watercolor.
6) Design a composition with two thing(alive or object) and they produce which they designed
7) Continue to work on watercolor study
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Adviser prepares a still life for students. This composition contains draperies, bottle, fruits, vegetables, dish made from porcelain etc. Students paint this still life with pastel crayons on 50 x 70 paper
10) Continue to work on pastel study
11) Continue to work on pastel study
12) Paint a Portrait from a photograph which they choose. This work is about 35x 50 cm long
13) Continue to work on portrait
14) Continue to work on portrait
15) Design an original work with pastel or watercolor technic. They are free to choise the thema.
16) Final examination
