Course Contents

Art’s operating system in the 14th century, art’s operating system in the 18th century, art’s operating system in the 20th century, methods of preparing an exhibition, what is gallery? How should it be? Museum definition in general, contemporary concept of museum curatorship, art managership, introduction to the terminology of arrangement, insurance, copyright, sponsor, what should be expected from an exhibition’s visitors, which is the right attitude? Methods of defining format and content of an artist’s file, methods of writing a press release, sales principles of an artwork, Turkey’s art market, methods of modernist and postmodernist exhibiting.
