1) Define concepts of conservation-restoration.
2) Be equipped with the knowledge about the history of the concept of conservation.
3) Examine definitions related to immovable-movable cultural assets as cultural heritage.
4) Discuss national and international legislations, laws and regulations about protection of cultural heritage.
5) Define the concepts of immovable and movable ceramic works.
6) Explain ceramic restoration methods and techniques.
7) Improve skills of understanding and exploring the causes of distortion of portable ceramic works.
8) Make drawings of relief and restitution of movable ceramic works.
9) Recognize chemical materials used in the restoration of ceramics.
10) Develop skills to find and integrate pieces of ceramic work.
11) Improve skills to complete missing pieces of ceramics.

Course Contents

The reason for deterioration of the ceramic art works which are classified as tangible cultural properties, restoration methods and techniques and the introduction of the material being used will be explained theorical and practical.
