1) Conceptualisition of painting by learning art history and producing art first of all are indicative of conscious working
2) Importance of art history is decisive for all artists. The artist who do not know art history, is hard to be successful in the field of art.
3) All the developments in the art history must be known in the way of main representatives of the periods sepereatly.
4) Learning and knowing art movements will open new horizons to artist. It will be decisive in poin of passing over works have been made until now.
5) Milestones of art history will help artists to get hold of differences and to build up their own styles.

Course Contents

The material, technical and thematic development of the art of painting, from prehistory to the present day, is discussed separately in different cultural circles, with particular emphasis on some important styles. Comparative method is used and while the painting art of the period / civilization is discussed, it is also associated with its social, economic and intellectual infrastructure and iconographic analyzes of important works of art history are made.
