Course Contents

To teach basic piano techniques, to introduce the basic piano literature.

Weekly Schedule

1) Finger exercises
2) D major scale (4 octaves- both hands)
3) B minor harmonic,melodic scale (4 octaves-both hands)
4) D major arpeggio (4 octaves-both hands)
5) B minor arpeggio (4 octaves-both hands)
6) Sight-reading practice on selected etudes
7) Studying on technical and musical development of selected etudes
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Sight-reading practice on selected Baroque Period piano piece
10) Studying on technical and musical development of selected Baroque Period piano piece
11) Sight-reading practice on selected Classical period sonatina form 2. and 3.movement
12) Studying on technical and musical development of selected Classical period sonatina 2. and 3.movement
13) Tempo practices on studied piano pieces
14) Dynamic practices of studied piano pieces
