Course Contents

To teach basic piano techniques, to introduce the basic piano literature.

1) Finger exercises
2) A major scale (4 octaves- both hands)
3) F# minor harmonic,melodic scale (4 octaves-both hands)
4) A major arpeggio (4 octaves-both hands)
5) F# minor arpeggio (4 octaves-both hands)
6) Sight-reading practice on selected etudes
7) Studying on technical and musical development of selected etudes
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Sight-reading practice on selected Baroque Period piano piece
10) Studying on technical and musical development of selected Baroque Period piano piece
11) Sight-reading practice on selected Romantic period piano piece
