Bu dersin içeriğini 1950 sonrasından günümüze sanat pratiklerinin uluslararası ve yerel ölçekte incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Bu çerçevede sanattaki dönüşümün kronolojik bir incelemesinin yanı sıra bu dönüşümlere kaynaklık eden siyasal, toplumsal ve ekonomik gelişmeler de tartışılacaktır. Türkiye’den ve yurtdışından sanatçı ve yapıt örnekleri üzerinden söz konusu gelişmelerin uygulamaya nasıl yansıdığı çözümlenecektir.
