1) What is theatre? Function of theatre and concept of play. Relations between theatre and drama.
2) Essential kinds of drama. Tragedy. Tragedy poets.
3) Comedy. Comedy writers and their plays.
4) Melodrama, one of the essential kinds of drama. Writers and plays.
5) Farce. Writers and plays.
6) Tragi-comedy, writers and plays
7) MIDTERM
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Theatre movements. Classism, writers and plays.
10) Romantism, writers and plays
11) Naturalism, writers and plays.
12) Symbolism and writers
