1) Define the concept of democracy and explain the process of the birth of democracy.
2) Explain the process of democracy which practised in ancient times and display the effects of it on the political and social life of Europe in the following period.
3) Describe the developments goes to the French Revolution and list intellectuals.
4) Define the concept of civil society and explain the development process and dynamics of civil society.
5) Define the concepts of freedom of expression, freedom of the press, Press Freedom, constitutional state and political participation.
6) Evaluate the relationships between media and democracy.

Course Contents

Democracy's rise and democracy, the definition of the ancient period of democracy discussed in later medieval Europe, political and social life in Europe, the French Revolution, before the improvements and thinkers will be discussed, the French Revolution, the underlying reasons will be reviewed. The concept of civil society, civil society development will be explored. Examined the relationship between media and democracy, the liberal-democratic movements of basic characteristics of democracy in a system, the media's role and functions, the importance of what will be questioned.
