1) Define the content and development of social policies.
2) Determine the effects of the Industrial Revolution on the emergence of the working class and economic structure.
3) Explain the development of social policy practices in Turkey
4) Define employment in the media, working conditions and social security matters and the first legal regulations which provide social assurance for media workers
5) Compare social security applications in the press area in Europe and USA with the development process of working conditions.

Industrial revolution; developments which causes social policies; definition of social policy; sources of workforce and labor markets; social state development; functions of social policies regarding socio-economic structure; problems of social policies; tools of social policies.

1) Social characteristic of the state and the developments preparing the acquisition of this characteristic will be examined.2) The content and development of social policies will be described.
3) The Industrial Revolution, the emergence of the working class and its impact on economic structure will be described.
4) Criticisms and debates emerging about social state will be examined.
5) Historical background of social policy practices in Turkey will be described.
6) Historical background of social policy practices in Turkey will be described (Continuation of the previous lecture).
