Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Define the concepts of public, opinion, public opinion and public opinion in the historical process.
2) Examine the concept and development of public opinion in the Ancient Greek, Roman and Enlightenment periods.
3) Define the spiral of silence theory, agenda-setting theory.
4) Examine the relationship between different political systems and public opinion.
5) Discuss the matters of public opinion measurement and evaluation.
6) Prepare public opinion surveys.
7) Make a field study for the implementation of the public opinion surveys.
8) Evaluate public opinion surveys with SPPS statistical package program.
