Course Contents

Europe 18 century, which brought a new style of modernism and contemporary architecture in the period up to the emergence of the concept of changing architectural theory and practice will be reviewed.

1) Reform movement in Christian impacts to architecture in European countries.
2) Impacts of Mannerism and Baroque style to architecture and urban planning.
3) Impacts of Baroque style to music, painting and sculpture relation with architecture.
4) Age of Enlightenment and Neo-classical architecture, the new quest and Romance.
5) Industrial Revolution and new construction materials impacts on the architectural design.
6) Art Nouveau, Romanticism and Neo-classical painting art and architecture.
7) Formation of Contemporary Art Philosophy.
