1) The students can solve equilibrium of particles in 2 and 3 dimensional problems.
2) They can apply the moment concept and solve the equilibrium problems of rigid bodies in two dimensions.
3) They can analyze all the internal forces at any point of a rod.
4) They will learn concepts of normal stres, shearing stress and deformations then they can make the design of a simple beam.
