Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Determine degree of indeterminacy of all types of beams and frames.
2) Analyze the Gerber beams.
3) Analyze the frames and draw the internal force diagrams.
4) Derive the equation of the elastic curve and compute the slope and deflection at any desired point of beams.
5) Determine the support reactions statically indeterminate beams.
