Course Contents

The structural systems of historical buildings such as hımış, masonry and early reinforced concrete etc. are presented. The type and load carrying mechanisms of vaults, arches, dome, columns etc. are explained. The dimensions of structural elements such as bricks, stone, adobe, binders, timber and steel of historical buildings are evaluated. The structural systems of the cases are analysed.
