Along with the social and economic changes that occurred in the late 19th century, housing emerged as an important social phenomenon in the 20th century and took an important place in the agenda of architecture. Thus, research on modern housing continued for a century, and the need for housing and changing housing practices became the main agenda of the architects. Within the scope of the course, the modernization and change of residential architecture in the 20th century will be discussed and explained through its pioneering examples in Europe and its reflections in Turkey.
