Course Contents

Introduction, causes of inadequate durability, transportation mechanism in concrete (diffusion, absorption and permeability), carbonation and acid attack on concrete, alkali-silica reaction, frost-thaw damage, sulphate attack on concrete, chloride attack, corrosion of reinforcement in concrete, condition assessment, repair and retrofitting of structures.
