Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Recognize the relationship among psychology and other sciences.
2) Express the methods used in psychology and the advantages, the disadvantages of these methods.
3) Explain the biological and environmental factors which play role in development of behavior.
4) Discuss the main theories to explain the development of behavior.
5) List the internal and external motives that affect the creation of motivational behavior.
6) Remember three basic way of learning: Reactive Conditioning (Classical Conditioning), Operant Conditioning, Learning through Observation (Social Learning).
7) Distinguish the relationship and differences between attitudes and behavior.
8) Comment on biological and environmental factors that play a role in the development of personality.

This course covers; Definition of psychology, historical development of psychology, branches of psychology, working areas of psychology, research methods using in psychology, life-span developmental psychology, motives and emotions, sensations and perception, learning, attitude, personality psychology, social psychology.
