Course Contents

Definition of epidemiology, historical backgroud of epidemiology, uses of epidemiology, sources of epidemiologic data (source of data aims, classicification of data, the characteristics of data), recording of data in health services and it’s importance (disease notifications, iceberg pheonemen), epidemiological criteria(the concept of rates and speed, calculation of rates, calculting incidence rates, prevalence rates), planning of epidemiologic researches, research methods in epidemiologic (desctriptive epidemiology, analytic epidemiology, experimental epidemiology), epidemiology of infectious diseases(general properties of infectious diseases, chain of infection), epidemiology of epidemics
