Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Knows the difference of light and heavy vaginal bleeding during pregnancy.
2) Explains how to manage postpartum bleeding.
3) Explains the management of severe preeclampsia and eclampsia.
4) Knows the appropriate interventions in case of high fever and sepsis.
5) Recognizes possible complications in case of severe abdominal pain.
6) Knows the attempts to be made in case of abdominal trauma.
7) Knows maternal and neonatal health.
8) Defines the Emergency Obstetric Care System.
9) Explain the quality approach and service standards in Emergency Obstetric Care Services..
10) Knows referral system in Emergency Obstetric Care.
11) Knows and applies the principles of emergency obstetric care and midwifery practices in line with national and international current guidelines.
