1) Identify the concept and context of gender as well as gendered social structures.
2) Associate theorical approaches with domestic violence, gender and culture.
3) Distinguish national and international legal and organisational arrangements.
4) Explore manifestations of gender inequality within the household, the market as well as in public policy domains.
5) Develop different policy approaches for maintaining gender equality.

This course covers gender, theoretical approaches, woman and violence towards woman; social, cultural, economic and politic factors, national and international arrangements, social work intervention and functions.
