4) Determine the mechanism of synthesis of saliva and functions.
5) Explain the physiology of mastication and swallowing.
6) Explain the physiology of calcification.
7) Analyze the physiology of dentinal pain and the other forms of orofacial sensation.
8) Recognize how dental and orofacial pain develops and how local anaethesia functions
9) Explain the important phenotypic and environmental risk factors for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
