Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Understand the general and spesific indications of periodontal surgery
2) Learn and compare various periodontal surgical methods in treating periodontitis.
3) Learn and apply various suturing techniques used in periodontal surgery.
4) Describe furcation lesions and to learn different regenerative treatment modalities.
5) Understand different treatment approaches to infrabony defects.
6) Understand the basis of mucogingival surgery and to be able to decide which type of mucogingival operation is necessary.
7) Learn various treatment protocols of periodontitis.
8) Learn different implant application techniques and to be able to understand the necessary techniques to preserve periimplant tissues.
