History of aviation, evolution of aviation in Turkey and in the world. Decribing flying objects; Physics of the Atmosphere: The physical characteristics of air, International standard atmosphere; Aircraft Aerodynamics: Airflow, Boundary layer, The components of aerodynamic force, Aerodynamic moment, L/D ratio, Airfoil, Stall, High lift devices, Subsonic, transonic and supersonic flight , Air speed measurement; Theory of Flight: Bacis concepts: movement, relative motion, ,Steady state flight, Theory of turn, Influence of load factor: stall, Gliding ratio; Airframe Structures: General concepts, Fuselage, Wings, Stabilizers, Flight control surfaces, Nacelles/Pylons, Landing Gears; Aircraft Power systems: Piston engines , gas turbine engines
