1) Students gain ability to analyze religious and social events from sociological perspective
2) Students learn the emergence of the sociology of religion, development, subject, field, methods and techniques
3) He can analyze problems of the Sociology of Religion, religious groups, Sociology of Religion in Turkey, impacts of the religion on the socieyt and the impacts of the society on the religion.
4) He can approach to religious events from scienctific perspective and with systematic, objective and experimental methods.
5) He can examine the religion from sociological perspective.

Course Contents

To study history of the Sociology of Religion and its method, techniques, field of science, basic theories. Applied sociology of religion studies, the problems sociology of religions, religious groups, sociology of religions in Turkey, the impact of religion on society and the impact of society in religion. Approach to the objective and experimental methods, dynamic, systematic and scientific perspective to religious events. Accepting religion as a social phenomenon examine it in sociological perspective.
