Course Contents

Definition of Islamic philosophy, its scope, content and sources. The rise of philosophical thought in Islam. Historical development of Islamic philosophy. The relation between Islamic Sciences and philosophy. Philosophical schools and sciences. Islamic philosophers and their philosophical thoughts. Crtiticism from al-Ghazali to philosophy. Philosophy in Andalusia. The influences of Islamic philosophy to Western thought.
