Course Contents

The course covers the history of game and the psychological benefits as well as basic techniques and skills at elementary level covers. Various theories in Chess are also introduced to students.

Weekly Schedule

1) Historical development of chess, chess board, describing chess pieces, examination of shah, king, queen,rook's movements.
2) Examination of pawn, knight's movements, taking pieces, practising
3) Examination of castile, rules about castle, taking when crossing, practising.
4) Checking, checkmate, pat and pratice.
5) Checkmate exercises, two rook checkmate, one rook checkmate, checkmate exercises with queen, checkmate problems.
6) What is notasyon? Practising, game finisig with pawn.
7) Powerful and light instruments, coordination between pieces and pieces without defence, practising.
8) Midterm exam
9) Relative values of instruments, general strategies of strating, practising.
10) Basic principles of finishing a game
11) Taking pawn, pawn finals.
12) Practising, what is quality in chess, What is quality superior and positional superior, numerical superior, practising.
13) Strating to chess, knowledge about the middle and the end of the game, practising.
14) Rules of tournaments in chess, Switzerland System, cycle tournament, practising.
15) FIDE chess rules
